ALBARELLA – Albarella Island is becoming increasingly environmentally friendly and has become a paradise for bicycles and sustainable mobility. In fact this summer, the Island reached a record for bicycle hire of 19,120 rentals by guests.
An important result, that underlines the importance given to sustainable mobility, respect for the environment, but also, of how the two “yellow” wheels ( this is the colour of the Island’s typical bicycles, editor’s note ) are the ideal means of transport for discovering the magical landscapes of the Po Delta lagoon, the beaches and the gravel, dirt paths of Albarella.
“ Sustainability, landscapes and nature are increasingly at the centre of our attention – explains Mauro Rosatti, the General Manager of Albarella Srl -. With this in mind, supporting and encouraging mobility on the Island with the most common means of transport is one of our main objectives. This applies not only to our guests, but also to our collaborators, believing that the bike is the best way to discover the natural wonders and the landscapes that the Island offers. Many of the interventions that have taken place on the Island’s roads were aimed at promoting bicycles by improving the paths and roads dedicated to cyclists”.
