Large spaces, disinfection and sanitization operations, safety devices, health care and free cancellations: tourism resumes here

Albarella Island is already thinking about a completely safe future. It does so by seriously planning the summer season which is about to start, despite the great world changes, ensuring that all actions possible are put into place to ensure safety and prevention in respect to the guests who will be coming and the workers on the Island. In this moment of standby for the tourism trade, it is fundamental to make preparations in order to be ready for a “new normal “as soon as the Italian lockdown ends. This hasn’t stopped Albarella who, in the meantime has been planning with seriousness and foresight a safe and responsible future for everyone, tourists and workers.

To begin with, Albarella’s offices have set up a task force that has defined in compliance with the various Ministerial decrees ,rules and protocols to be respected by all workers, both internal and external within the Island, also, with the assistance of external experts and consultants to ensure maximum prevention and safety. Procedures have already been implemented with strict instructions to be respected by the companies that access the Island in this present moment for construction work, garden maintenance and pest control operations, others will be defined in the forthcoming days. All Albarella operators will work in complete safety: the offices are equipped with disinfectant, masks, constant cleaning and ozone sanitation of the rooms and the staff who have direct contact with the public will also be equipped with sneeze guards and eye cover.

A protocol for sanitizing the common areas has been drawn up, defining rules for their use to guarantee safety distances and continuous surveillance. Roads, playgrounds and fitness trails will be sanitized. There are plans to sanitize the beach, sun beds and walkways, disinfect the sand and swimming pools with the use of hand sprayers. Bicycles will be sanitized each time they are returned together with the golf cars. The apartments and hotels will be sanitized and equipped with disinfectants and Amuchina.

Healthcare on the Island will also be enhanced with the launch of the Corona Virus Management Protocol established with the Healthcare Company which foresees special preventive actions and assistance for suspect cases. The clinic will be equipped with apparatus and PPE necessary to treat specific cases.

Together with the prevention and safety strategy studied by the management, there is also another fundamental aspect of Albarella Island: its large spaces, its uncontaminated nature, its low population density which spontaneously avoids crowds of people. It is an Island with controlled access 24hrs a day, with 600 hectares of land surrounded by the sea and lagoons. On a 60 hectare campsite, on average there is accommodation for 15,000: In Albarella there is accommodation for 12,000 in 600 hectares.
