By the Piazzetta Fontana, Health Care is provided 24 hours a day.
Additionally, fee-paying medical assistance is available on the island (surgery opening times: from 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. and from 5.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.).
A fee-paying Ambulance Service is provided to transport patients to the closest hospital.
There is also a pharmacy located at Albarella Marina ( from 20/04 to 20/09)
The Secretary’s office of the Communion is located in the offices of Albarella S.r.l., at the entrance of the island, close to the barrier.
The Secretary’s office has owners coordination tasks, it manages the administrative expenses of the “block of flats” structure of Albarella, it sees to the issuing of entrance permits for the owners’ guests and supervises all the traffic entering and leaving the island.
The Secretary's office is open with office times during low season: from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The Secretary’s office will be open longer in summer.
SECURITY GUARD SERVICE
The security and surveillance service on the island of Albarella is run by a private watchmen service called C.I.V.I.S. Spa.
The service grants assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The security guards are in charge of assuring that the rules of the Island are respected and by punishing offenders.
C.I.V.I.S. S.p.A. – Italian Interior and Street Surveillance Centre – is a leading company in this field and it is UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 and UNI 10891:2000 certified.
You can reach the island by driving along the 12 km long causeway connecting the island to the mainland. It is also reachable by helicopter or by private boats.
The use of cars is strongly discouraged on the island. You are warmly invited to park your car and to use alternative means of transportation such as bikes, golf-cars, the island shuttle train, roller blades, and….your own legs!!.
Public means of transportation arrive outside the island, in Rosolina. You can get there by train or by bus, then a taxi or a private car can get you to the island.
