THE ISLAND ALBARELLA
Albarella is a private island, southwards of Venice, where you can spend your holidays relaxing or practicing your favorite sport.
The island is situated in the “National Nature Resort of the Po Delta” (connected through a bridge to the mainland) and measures 5 by 1,5 Km. 2/3 rds out of 5,3 square kms consist of Mediterranean vegetation. Albarella has 2 million trees of 150 different species, some of them are the “Maritime pine tree” and the “White poplar”, “Populus Alba”, that’s where Albarella gets his name from.
Here deer, pheasants, rabbits, herons, march hawks, stilt birds and egrets find their natural habitat.
The whole surface, ground as well as water, are under strict environmental surveillance.

QUIETNESS, PRIVACY AND SECURITY
The privacy, the quietness and the security of Albarella’s visitors are 24 hours a day surveilled by an attentive but discreet security service. Only owners and guests having an entrance card, released by our security service, are admitted on the Island.
The traffic on the Island is limited: the bicycle is the King of the road. We have about 4.000 of them in different models. Adults and kids can swirl around in all quietness through these Mediterranean woods, along the sandy beach or driving on the dike between the fishing valley and the Laguna.
From morning till evening everybody can make use of our sympathyc train that brings you to the main interesting points of the Island.
Car traffic is severely limited to 30 Km/hour.


PLENTY OF SHOWS, ARTS AND CULTURE
On Albarella it is “spots on” during the summer evenings.
You can enjoy numberless shows of animation from Italian and international artists: theme fests, games, modern and classical music concerts, jazz, rock, latin-american, country, folk, cabaret, theatre, ballet, fashion shows, magicians and on top we have a piano bar, beach disco and our dancing VIP.
Albarella, though, means art and culture as well. During July and August we organize important painting and sculpture expositions of famous international artists like Piccasso, Messina, Guttoso and Dali. All this plus antique exhibitions, meetings with artists, exposers, critics and art lovers take place in Ca’ Tiepolo, a beautiful Venetian residence.



SPORTS, A LOT OF SPORTS
Albarella is the Island of outdoor sports.
In modern and professional equipped complexes our federal teachers organize beginner courses as well as perfecting and pro lessons for young and old.
Demonstrations and competitions on national and international level enrich the already pretty full event schedule.
We offer more than 20 sports: Golf, in one of Europe’s most beautiful sea-linked 18 hole course that whirls around tamarisks, lakes and dunes for more than 6.000 meters.
Tennis, with 21 of the 24 courts in red clay. Horseback riding, with his stables, riding school and jump course. And for who likes shooting we have the bow and arrow range.
Than we have the water sports with the sailing school, windsurf and “catamaran” sailing. The water ski school professionally equipped for all disciplines, levels and ages are specialized in barefoot skiing. Sports fishing and deep-sea fishing.
To make the list complete we still have to mention bocce, roller blading, basketball, volleyball, soccer, jogging on the health course, guided aerobics and water gymnastics.
For the sport fanatics the Island makes it all possible. If you prefer spending a relaxed holiday, don’t worry; Albarella is organized for this, too!

ADRIATIC SEA, MARE VOSTRUM AND MANY SWIMMING POOLS
The natural beach of Albarella, watered by the Adriatic Sea, consists out of a 2,5 Km long bed of fine sand: wide, quiet, equipped or free. Facing the beach Hotel Capo Nord and the Sporting Center offer the “Albarelliani” a wide range of services: the Olympic swimming pool and the one for the kids, comfortably equipped beach, a sports complex with tennis courts, soccer field, beach volley court, and bocce, video games and amusement park, mini golf, bar, restaurant, pizzeria on the beach.
But Albarella has more: Mare Vostrum, 500.000 square meters of clean water. Europe’s biggest salt water swimming pool. Completely protected by dams that purify the water, Mare Vostrum hosts the Barefoot Club, the water ski school with its small, cute beach and playground for the youngest.
As last but not least we have the “Sporting Fiordi” with a swimming pool for adults and one for kids, bar, tennis courts, ping-pong and the swimming school.

LIVING ON THE ISLAND
Other than Hotel Capo Nord and the Club House Albarella, harmoniously inserted in Albarella’s nature, modern and elegant architecture like apartments of all sizes, villas with big gardens or Venetian styled fisherman’s houses at the “fiordi” borders (saltwater arms that debouch in the Mare Vostrum), are for rent.
The real estate at Albarella results to have a big variety. Not only is it possible to buy something “ready for immediate use” but also custom made projects are possible.
At the moment of purchase a technical staff and a team of experts will assist you deciding for the right project or correct solution. Furthermore the client will be offered help in handling and maintaining the real estate, as well during summer as in the winter period.


THE YACHT HARBOUR
Albarella’s marina (European Blue Flag) has 455 mooring places for boats from 6 to 25 meters. They are secure and protected against any weather conditions. The quay is furnished with light, water and electric plug-ins for boats longer than 8 meters. The docks are made out of reinforced concrete, have mooring poles and offer plenty of space to maneuver.
Following services are present: building area, workshop, storing area, gas station, crane, slipway and an overhead transporting crane with a 50 ton loading capacity.
The harbour entrance has been perfected with two new dams consisting out of rocks that go until 600 meters into the sea. At the marina you will find agencies, shops, pharmacy, restaurants and a playground for kids.

Kids are special guests to Albarella: our well-prepared staff organizes the Baby and Junior club with games and lots of fun, theme-parties, clowns, and sportive competitions…
Next to the playgrounds, immersed in the woods, we have the mini zoo, amusement park, video games, sports lessons and competitions.
It is of course possible to just swirl around by bike in peace and security.

In the restaurants and pizza huts you can try out the regional specialties, the best Italian and international kitchen. Numerous bars and food places are spread over the whole island.
Who prefers in-house cooking can find all he needs at Albarella’s two supermarkets.
