The Secretary’s office of the Communion is located in the offices of Albarella Spa, at the entrance of the island, close to the barrier. The Secretary’s office has owners coordination tasks, it manages the administrative expenses of the “block of flats” structure of Albarella, it sees to the issuing of entrance permits for the owners’ guests and supervises all the traffic entering and leaving the island.
The Secretary's office is open with office times during low season: from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.. The Secretary’s office will be open longer in summer.
The barrier service works 24 hours a day, all year long. In summer time more staff are employed for this service. High technology opening systems for the barrier are used. A magnetic card is scanned for all vehicles entering and leaving the island, thus recording all car plate numbers. The same technology is used to manage the records of the video surveillance. The barrier service also sorts all phone calls for the First Aid Service, Fire brigade and other technical emergences in cooperation with the watchmen service of the island.
