Padua is very rich in artistic and architectonic masterpieces thus mirroring the long existing artistic and cultural tradition of the town. It hosts one of the most important masterpieces in Western Art: The Scrovegni Chapel containing a fresco cycle by Giotto. Another sight you can not miss is the most famous of the Paduan churches: The Basilica of S.Antonio, patron of the town. Padua is among the most lively and dynamic cultural and economic towns in the North East of Italy.
 It is located in the middle of the Veneto plain, surrounded by hills and lagoons. It is just one hour drive away from the island.
